With Mars in Aries from today I’m having a late start. I began with a lazy breakfast, coffee in the early Spring sunshine and a tarot reading. This is because I know myself to be a person of very fiery temperament. With so many planets in fire signs I have to be careful not to burn myself out when the transiting planets enter Leo, Aries or Sagittarius.
From tomorrow there will be six planets transiting in fire signs – Uranus, Venus, the Moon and Mars in Aries, Saturn in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Leo. For many of you this will mean increased motivation, initiative and self-confidence, but for those of us who are already abundant in the fiery gifts this energy could feel a little intense. Keep a look out for sign of mania, aggression or arrogance. Be wary of over-exertion and taking on more than you can handle.
If Mars in Aries feels just a little intense, especially after it is joined by the Moon and Venus tomorrow, then consciously take time to re-balance the elements in your being:
- If Air is lacking in your birth chart set time aside for journaling, mind-mapping your ideas or a good conversation with a friend
- If Earth is lacking in your birth chart ground yourself with a walk in nature, spend time with your favourite tree or do some yoga
- If Water is lacking in your birth chart reconnect with your intuition through Tarot play, a long bath, swimming or meditation
Working with astrology is all about becoming more conscious of the energies at play within us. We are not at the mercy of these energies. We have free will and can work actively with the energies as they flow through us. For me today this means taking time out to find balance.
