With the Sun in Gemini from 21 May our powers of manifestation will be channeled more strongly than usual through our thoughts and words. This means there is never a better time to be conscious of how we are thinking and speaking about ourselves, others and the world.
The power of thought and word in the process of creative manifestation is wonderfully expressed in Neale Donald Walsch’s seminal book Conversations with God. He writes, ‘Thought is pure energy. Every thought you have, have ever had, and ever will have is creative. The energy of your thought never ever dies. Ever. It leaves your being and heads out into the universe, extending forever. A thought is forever.”
Because the Sun represents in us the creative force that is the source of our ability to manifest in this way, with the Sun in Gemini we should be particularly aware of our thoughts and how they influence our experience of life. Ask yourself:
- Do I harbour negative beliefs about myself and my ability to achieve my goals that are holding me back from success?
- Do I tend to think of the world as a dangerous or malevalent place where I may well be harmed if I do not remain vigilant?
- Do I consider others to be untrustworthy, unkind or selfish?
With Sun in Gemini it’s also a good time to become more conscious of our words. For example do you speak with kindness or allow yourself to project your frustrations onto others, becoming harsh or rude? Are you authentic in your speech? Most importantly do you observe yourself telling and retelling a story of woe that casts you as a victim of circumstances?
How will Sun in Gemini affect you?
The Sun in Gemini will resonate most strongly for those who have the Sun placed in Gemini or the 3rd House natally. You may also feel it if you have strong natal aspects between the Sun and Mercury. Those with planets or points in Gemini will feel this energy most strongly as the Sun transits briefly over these natal placements during the course of the coming month.
The area of your life that will be most affected depends on which house (or houses) the Sun is passing through in your chart. For example I have my Ascendant in Gemini so when the Sun transits this point I can expect to receive a boost of creative energy that could be used to assert my personal rights and identity to others.

The mutable t-square between Jupiter in Virgo, Saturn in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces is still very much active and this will affect our ability to see things from a positive viewpoint. To read more on these aspects check out my previous articles:

Working with Sun in Gemini
Choosing to change the unhealthy patterns of thought and speech we’ve developed over the course of our lives is a big part of working with the Sun in Gemini. Recognising the power you have to manifest your life in this way can shift you from repeatedly creating crises and dramas, to consciously choosing to become the highest and best version of yourself.
How are you working with this principle in your own life? Please share your experiences below.
